There are many places to stay in Oahu to suit all budgets, from luxury hotels to beds in university dorms. Our wedding will be at the Loulu Palm Estate which is located on the North Shore. This area is famous for it's amazing surf, and is home to the Pipe Masters during the winter months when the waves can reach heights of 30 feet! Thankfully the ocean is much calmer during the month of March.

We would advise guests to stay in either Waikiki to be close to shops, restaurants and nightlife, or the North Shore which is where the wedding venue is located and is less touristy. We have listed some accommodation options in both these areas.

Charmayne and Nick will be staying at the Trump Waikiki from March 9th - March 12th, then at Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore the night before (March 12th) and the night of the wedding itself (March 13th). We will then return to Trump Waikiki until we depart Hawaii on March 15th.

WAIKIKI

For those of you interested in being close to the shops, restaurants, and nightlife of Oahu, Waikiki is the place to be. The majority of the island's hotels are located in this glitzy area of town. Waikiki is about an hour away from our wedding venue, so we will be providing a coach to take our guests from Waikiki to the wedding and back.

NORTH SHORE

If you want to experience "true" Hawaii and get away from it all, the North Shore is a great place to be. Our wedding venue is very close to the Turtle Bay Resort, which is pretty much the only hotel on the North Shore. But there is an abundance of vacation rental homes available, most of which require a minimum stay of 5 days - 1 week. These are usually really great value if you have a group of 4 people or more and are located close to some fantastic beaches such as Waimea Bay and Malaekahana Beach.

Please be aware that there is not that much to do in this area in terms of nightlife. Also, we will not be providing transportation to the wedding for guests staying on the North Shore, as you will be close enough to make your own way.

Some good sites to find vacation rentals for as low as US$30 per person per night include:
Goin2Travel
Team Real Estate
Cyber Rentals
Turtle Bay Vacation Rentals

THINGS TO CONSIDER

If you wish to see Oahu properly, hiring a car is a good idea. Otherwise, there are public buses (TheBus)to take you to most parts of the island.
If you are keen to head out at night, it would probably be best to stay in Waikiki and visit the other parts of the island during the day as it may be hard or expensive to find cabs back to the North Shore at the end of a night out in Waikiki.
